Marlboro School of Discovery is pleased to announce that two students from the school have been accepted into one of the programs at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.  8th graders, Aislyn Pegues and Kanan Townsend, were accepted into the Summer Discovery Program- Music: Voice.  Students across the state had the opportunity to apply for admission to the summer programs.  Our students applied, went through a rigorous audition process and were both accepted.

The summer program will consist of learning new voice techniques along with working on a specific song of their choice.  They will be staying in Greenville, SC at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities campus for two weeks this summer.  They will be attending advanced classes for voice daily and will do a culminating performance at the end of each week.  The students are excited about this opportunity.  We are very proud of their accomplishments.
